Letovice lies 21 km north of Blansko. The town stands at the confluence of the Svitava and Křetínka rivers.
The first written mention of Letovice dates to 1145. A linen manufactory was established here in 1754. The originally Gothic Church of St Prokop was built between 1370 and 1380.
